I’ve switched the blog back to single-blog mode, rather than multi-site as this is more maintainable and the reason for switch to multi-site was invalid.

Most stuff is working again, though a few links are broken, and I need to fix the navigation to show hierarchies.

Now off to bed for me.

So apparently my WordPress installation on TheElitist.NET has decided to shit itself, resulting in the post writing part to not work anymore.

Guess I’ll fix that once I feel like it, or I might just throw out all the damn plug-ins on it and start clean (Keeping just posts, the theme and comments).

I really like how stuff in wordpress breaks without reason, ah well when it works it does its job well.

I have recreated the page, post and category structure/data as seen on http://wp-themes.com/.

And I have exported this into a WordPress export XML and made this available for download.

After reading this post by Myrhial Arkenath I decided to overhaul some aspects of my blog too, adding some plugins and changing some settings.

Permalinks

As you might have noticed I have changed my permalink structure, up till about 10 minutes ago the structure would’ve been /year/month/day/post-name however the date part is completely unneeded and just makes the URL longer. So now I’ve changed the structure to be /post-name as can be seen in your url bar right now (probably).

Plugins

Next to this I’ve also added some additional plugins, for info on what they do again check Myrhial’s post

• Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs aren’t yet implemented in the blog theme but will be added soon.
