Ship Fit: Ratting Hurricane – Passive Shield Tank

By Xeross Posted in EVE Online, Fittings, Good Fittings Comments (2)

Hello and welcome to another one of my fitting posts, this time we’ll be looking at the ship I’m using for ratting. A passive shield tanked hurricane. Now without further ado the fitting.

[Hurricane, PvE - Ratting - Shield Passive]
Shield Power Relay II
Shield Power Relay II
Shield Power Relay II
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II

<Rat Specific Active Hardener> II

Large Shield Extender II

650mm Medium ‘Scout’ Artillery I, EMP M

650mm Medium ‘Scout’ Artillery I, EMP M
650mm Medium ‘Scout’ Artillery I, EMP M

650mm Medium ‘Scout’ Artillery I, EMP M
Salvager I
Small Tractor Beam I

Medium Core Defence Field Purger I
Medium Core Defence Field Purger I
Medium Core Defence Field Purger I

Acolyte I x6

As you can see this fit still uses T1 guns, this is because I can not use T2 medium artillery yet, so if you can swap out the current artillery with the T2 variant (However my EFT shows no DPS increase with them). Now onto some stats.

Shield DPS 594 (With 2 Exp. Dampener IIs)
Gun DPS 179 (Using EMP M)
Effective HP 70,264
Capacitor Lasts 15m 14s

The stats are based on NPCs that fire 96% explosive

As you can see with both dampeners being active this fit has a considerable amount of shield tank (Only 1 anomaly was able to break it but that was because I killed the wrong rats first), it is possible to increase it even further by swapping the Gyrostabilizers for more Shield Power Relays however this is at the expense of DPS.

So what do you think of this fit ?

Fit: Hurricane – Tech2 Mission Runner

By Xeross Posted in EVE Online, Experimental Fittings, Fittings Comments (1)

I’ve recently changed my hurricane fit to a shield tank instead of an armor tank, but that still didn’t cut it. So with the help of a few friends (Well basically one just linked me his fit) I got these 2 alterations:

More Damage
2x Gyrostabilizer II
4x Shield Power Relay II

2x Large Shield Extender II
2x Kinetic Deflection Amplifier II

2x Standard Missile Launcher II
6x 650mm Artillery Cannon II

3x Medium Core Defence Field Purger I

Stats
Defence: 225dps
Firepower: 158dps
Capacitor: Stable at 100%

More Defense
1x Gyrostabilizer II
5x Shield Power Relay II

2x Large Shield Extender II
2x Kinetic Deflection Amplifier II

2x Standard Missile Launcher II
6x 650mm Artillery Cannon II

3x Medium Core Defence Field Purger I

Stats
Defence: 296dps
Firepower: 135dps
Capacitor: Stable at 100%

So please leave a comment with suggestions on improving it, opinions on which of the 2 I should pick or anything else related (I could just swap the 2nd gyro with a relay when it’s needed too, hmm).

EVE Log: Zeh Hurricane

By Xeross Posted in EVE Online, Experimental Fittings, Fittings Leave a Comment

A while ago the training for Minmatar Battlecruisers finished, after that it took a while to actually buy one from an alliance member, but now I’m the proud owner of a brand new Hurricane (even though it’s already rusted).

Now after grinding some standing for a few days I could finally do lv3 missions, but I somehow just survived long enough to warp out (without even killing 1 enemy). So I talked with a few friends and corp mates and we came up with the following fit, I’m happy with it and it tanks like a charm.

High Slots
5x 720mm ‘Scout’ Artillery I (Rat Specific Ammo)
2x ‘Malkuth’ Heavy Missile Launcher I (Rat Specific Ammo)
Auto Targeting System I (This was fitted because there wasn’t enough PG and CPU left for additional weapons)

Medium Slots
3x Cap Recharger II
Y-S8 Hydrocarbon I Afterburners

Low SlotsHurricane (Battlecruiser)
4x Rat Specific Hardener I
Power Diagnostics System II
Medium Armor Repairer I

Rigs
2x Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I

Well leave a comment and tell me what you think about it.

Regards, Xeross
