I decided to do an experiment. A skilled mining toon with an empty wallet and only a new Velator and the pimp civilian mining laser. How much money can I get in a week. 1 hour each day.
Last time we left our hero he was thinking what to spend his newly found isk for. As I warp to the belt I was mining scordite yesterday I start searching for my next ship – I’m thinking about a procuror. So I need 3.5 milion for a procuror and a strip miner.I doubt I will be able to make it today but I sure am going to try.
I continue mining the scordite I have found and a friend miner seems to be here being annoyed by a guristas pirate. It seems this guristas heard what I did to his friend so he attacks me 1 minute after I warp in.
My furious hobgoblin attacks him and rips him a new one. Thats the good news the bad news is that I have entered armor. Not good news at all I tells ya. The 5 minute mark comes knocking while I loot the guristas wreck. Mmm a civilian shield booster I can use that to better my tank well thats good news
The asteroid dissapears and I feel proud of myself. God damn I’m a mining machine here. Switching to a good ore stack of pyroxeres seems like a good idea and I start mining it down. The fellow miner seems to have warped off probably scared by my mining prowess.
I shake my head trying to regain some of my sanity. The 10 minute mark hits and I decide to go drop my ore in the station because I have 4 trips to make. I dock up and equip the second hand civilian shield booster I just got from that s****pirate I killed.
The 15 minute mark hits and I continue getting the ore from my can to the station. I keep repeating this procedure and as I do it I’m thinking of getting an Iteron to haul this for me. It would save me a lot of time.
I check the prices and I find an Iteron mark 4 for 600 thousand 3 jumps from me.Problem is after I refined all my loot I have only 469534 isk. So I need 150 more and I have only 30 minutes left of day 2. Nothing much happening today and my plans are layed out. The plan for today is gather 620 thousand isk. Get the Iteron and cargo expanders and buy 2 mining laser upgrades I.
The 40 minute mark hits.As my vision blurs a quick shot to my ship wakes me up. Another pirate tries to cut me down and before I can react I’m down to 20% shields. He even jams me. But this time I’m ready for the bastards with the little loot from his collegue.
The hobgoblin comes flying off my dronebay and his ship turns into rubble in seconds.I quickly scoop his loot and head to the station.The 45 minute mark hits and I have to hurry if I want to keep my plan for the day. I start hauling my new 2000m3 of stuff to the station. As I refine everything I hit the 700 thousand mark.
I go get my Iteron mark 4 and 3 cargo expanders to go with it and I start returning to Kausaaja. On the way I also get some mining laser upgrades, so I am ready for day 3. Good thing too because my time is all but up. I have 1 minute left.
As I finally dock up in Kausaaja with my new Iteron and my wallet feeling a lot thiner I’m happy with my progress.My current isk balance is 89485 isk. I have a Navitas and an Iteron mark 4 as my assets. I’m getting big time here.
