I decided to do an experiment. A skilled mining toon with an empty wallet and only a new Velator and the pimp civilian mining laser. How much money can I get in a week. 1 hour each day.
Undocked in Jita with a pod, moved to another station and got my extraordinary Velator and 3 ISK from the tritanium in it, WIN. As Jita is extremely laggy I decided to move. Lets try Alikara. I have 9237 isk.
As I leave Jita my new life starts, oh the excitement. I wont be low sec mining just high sec like a carebear. 5 minutes have already passed but I found a rich plagioclase ore, SCORE.
After an exciting 60 seconds I get 46.875 m3 worth of plagioclase in my shiny cargohold. I can barely contain my excitement with the riches im going to get, so I alt tab for 1-2 minutes until the ship’s cargohold is filled.
Aaaand im full. My first goal I’m thinking should be getting a Navitas. So I need 24400 isk. Jeez thats a lot of money :-/. I refine my first batch with the bonus 1 trit I got for the Velator frack yeh im up to 20946 isk.
I decide to spring for a miner tech 1. 10k ISK FOR A MINER. NO THANKS IM SAVING FOR THE NAVITAS. I hit the 10 minute mark. I decide to drop a can and wait until I get 2 loads. No risk no reward right?
As I overload my ship with the richness of plagioclase and warp to the station the 15 minute marks arrives. Urgency strikes me I gotta hurry the frack up or I aint gonna make anything today. I’ve left a can with another load of ore.God I hope someone doesnt steal it. My money, my hope, my future.
As I arrive it and find it safe in space I breath easily. Docking time and a new toy from a near system. As I sell the load I had I hit the 45k isk mark and its time for a navitas. I warp to kaimon. Its 600 isk more expensive than 6 jumps away but im thinking I can make more money while mining with it.
As I dock in kaimon I notice my watch ding ding ding it says 20 minute mark my friend. I buy another miner I have 2 now. A civilian one and a miner I. And I have 9850 isk left. I search for expanded cargoholds … but I find none. Thats just great.
As I warp to the belt I find a guristas frigate there. There goes my good day. I find it ironic as he burns through my shields I burn through a azure plagioclase formation. I get my fill pretty fast and my shields seem to be dying so I warp off.
I decide I need some protection. I decide to invest in my survival. I buy a hobgoblin I. Kinda expensive 9500 isk but I think its going to be worth it. As I arm myself I hit the 25 minute mark. Good news is I have 31000 isk. Well after I buy the drone only 22000.
As I arm myself I decide I might as well buy another miner and I do. My wallet shows 11869. The pesky Guristas frigate seems to have attacked a hulk after seeing that I rejoice and scoop my shiny drone and start mining that asteroid I like. As I start filling a can with ore I arrive at the half way point.
The 30 minute mark. The hulk decides to warp off and the fearsome pirate starts burning for me. I decide I aint running this time until I hit my structure and release my drone. As he tears my shield my drone rips his shield and enters armor. A second later a violent explosion.I blink but its not my ship, its that pirate his nice 9000 bounty entering my wallet and his 125mm railgun enters my cargohold.
Maybe I should be a bounty hunter. I shake that insane idea off quite easily and decide to dock up and throw the ore and “loot” haha loot I have accumulated.
From all that excitement I missed the 35 minute mark and enter the 40 minute mark directly. I have less time than I thought. I quickly start getting what I mined from the belt to the station and reprocess it. My wallet grows several times bigger and my happiness with it.
As I move my stuff from the belt to the station the 45 minute mark hits.I finish and my new balance is 165530 ISK. I feel like giving everybody in the station a free drink.
I decide to go to Kausaaja for expanded cargoholds and there seem to be 150 belts there so i could mine here too for the 10 minutes i have left of day 1. I get my expanded cargoholds and warp to a belt to make myself some additional income.
I decide to switch to scordite because the price of pyerite has really gone up. 5 minute remaining, I find a wrecked guristas on the belt i warp to. Serves the basterd right. As i haul my last load in and reprocess everything i get 264316 isk. I’m a quarter of a milionaire now.
